Ingredients

– 120 ml (½ cup) butter 

– 120 ml (½ cup) EZE Sweet sweetener 

– 2 eggs 

– 5 ml (1 teaspoon) vanilla essence 

– Pinch of salt 

– 180 g (1½ cups) self-raising wheat flour 

Method

  1. Melt the butter and add it to a mixing bowl.
  2. Pour in the EZE Sweet sweetener and stir well.
  3. Mix until fully combined.
  4. Crack the 2 eggs into the mixture and continue mixing.
  5. Add the vanilla essence and mix again.
  6. Gradually add the self-raising wheat flour and stir until smooth.
  7. Add a pinch of salt and mix well.
  8. Cover the dough and refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
  9. While the dough chills, preheat the oven to 180°C.
  10. Once chilled, roll out the dough on a floured surface.
  11. Cut out shapes from the dough using a cookie cutter.
  12. Place the cookie shapes on a baking tray and bake for 5-10 minutes, or until golden brown.
  13. Remove the freshly baked cookies from the oven and let them cool before serving.
